Monthly Musings; Best Beauty Buys

Omorovicza beauty products flatlay

Welcome to my monthly musings. Here’s a quick rundown of what I have been loving and using in abundant measure during the last 2 months, my February and March Favourites; best beauty buys if you will.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

This rather ingenious tinted hydrating gel combines all the best qualities of a BB and CC cream to give you great coverage whilst caring for your skin. I have been using this all month and have been enjoying the improvement in my complexion. It is wearable, buildable and has the all important SPF 30 in it. Ive worn this in the city, to work and on nights out. It has great staying power without being cakey.

Will I be buying it again? Yes I most certainly will

Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost

This is a wonderfully rich and nourishing night cream, perfect for tired, stressed, dehydrated skin. I had been noticing fine lines and dryness on the outer parts of my face and really felt I needed a nighttime treatment to make the most of the skins repair and restoration activity overnight. I read great reviews about this cream and so decided to give it a try. So far I have been really happy with the results. My skin definitely appress  more hydrated in the mornings, the fine lines are not as pronounced and I seem to have had fewer outbreaks. I’m not at all sure why this is but it is something I have noticed in my skins behaviour this past month since using the Oskia cream. It is pricey at £78 for 50ml, but I am expecting this to last me up to 6 months as a little goes a long way.

Will I be buying it again? Hopefully not too soon due to the cost, but yes, I would buy this again

Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask

I am loving this clay mask. It is a powerhouse of ingredients, calcium and magnesium rich, this clay is designed to be absorbed by the skin more readily due to a ‘Hydro Mineral Transference system’ developed by the Hungarian Nobel Prize winning laboratory. This product is understated but smacks of confidence. It just works. And works well. It has had a calming and soothing effect on my skin despite it being a clay mask. It works very well to clean and refine my pores, which do look visibly better after I have used the mask. I also use it as an emergency spot treatment, leaving a little of the mask on the affected area overnight. It works like a charm! At £60 it’s not a cheap mask, but I think its worth every penny.

Will I be repurchasing? So far so good, I think I will be popping this into my shopping cart at SpaceNK in the not too distant future.

Darphin Eye creams

I have two of these beauties. The first is my day time eye cream.  The Ideal Resource Anti-dark Circle Eye Illuminator. It has a metal applicator which soothes my tired and puffy eyes in the  morning. The ingenious tinted light weight cream also offers a hint of coverage over my dark circles. My eye area instantly feels soothed, hydrated and ever so slightly concealed.

The second pot of lovelieness I tend to reserve for my night time routine. The Wrinkle Corrective Eye Contour cream targets fine lines and crowfeet. It smooths softens and adds radiance to the eye contour area. That being said, if my eye area feels particularly dehydrated I have layered this beneath the Ideal Resource and they layer seamlessly.

This one is a cream texture but extremely light weight. Again it leave much eye area feeling instantly hydrated. I notice that my fine lines are less obvious and the eye are just looks healthier.

At £39 and £46 respectively I feel both products sit neatly cost wise, in the mid-to -high end of the market. Dauphin uses very luxurious and well researched products and so you are paying not only for a quality product, but a wealth of experience int he beauty industry.

Will I repurchase these? Yes, eye will (sorry couldn’t resist)

Morrocanoil Luminous Hairspray

Now this one is an oldie but a goodie. It’s my first time. Can you believe it! Ive been a morrocanoil user for years but have never ventured into the styling range. Better late then never. This medium hold hairspray is great for completing and neatening up your do, whilst giving your hair a lovely, natural shine. It also smells delicious, rare for hairspray. I find it tames my dizzy fine but plentiful hair into some semblance of order effortlessly. It dries with no visible or tactile residue. It’s a huge can so is likely to last me some length of time, fortunately as it’s £17.25 is a little on the higher side for a hairspray after all. I’d definitely recommend this if you haven’t already done so.

Will I buy this again? Absolutely
