Silidyn Supplement 30Plus Blogger Trial

Silidyn supplement 30plus blogger trial

I was over the moon to be one among the 30plus blogging community to trial an intriguing new product: Silidyn, which landed on my doorstep in early December.

Silidyn

Silidyn is a liquid supplement, which helps to replenish depleted silicon levels in our body. Loss of silicon is a natural part of the aging process, and with this comes the loss of elasticity in our skin and fullness of our hair. Our nails too can become more brittle, as well as other less visible changes within our bodies, affecting our connective tissue and bones.

Unfortunately silicon is not bioavailable, which means our bodies do not replace it as it is lost and it is less readily available in out diets.

As well as silicon, Silidyn contains other healthful ingredients; Zinc, Boron, Selenium and manganese. These all contribute towards a healthy immune system, mineral bone density as well as youthful looking hair, skin and nails. Silidyn really is a compound of top properties to awaken and maintain you inner and outer beauty.

Silidy is administered in a simple daily tincture. Just 8-10 drops of this completely innocuous fluid in a short glass of water or your favourite juice, around 125-200ml of fluid is more then sufficient. Taken just once a day in the morning it is easy to add into your routine.

I have been taking Silidyn for just over 4 weeks now. An 8 -week programme is advised by the makers to see the real benefits, but I wanted to share with you some of the early positive signs that I have already experienced.

Hair

I have noticed an improvement in my hair in that it has appeared thicker and stronger since I started using Silidyn. My hair is fine and I have some thinning at the front, which I attribute to poor diet and hormones. I have felt that since using Silidyn my hair has not appeared as sparse. More objectively, I have seen that my hair has grown much more quickly. I usually have my hair coloured every 6-8 weeks. Since using Silidyn, I ‘needed’ my roots colouring by the 4th week. Unfortunately I also had a lot of new growth of grey hair, however my hairdresser advised me that this is new hair growth and again is an objective indicator of the products efficacy. Every cloud…

I have also noticed that my hair has looked more glossy, in a healthy way. My hair is dark and so is reasonably shiny, however I don’t usually notice it. I have begun to notice myself that my hair does indeed look quite shiny and more healthy and I have had a number of compliments. Always a good thing.

Skin

Winter has been tough on my skin as has a long period of viral illness (poor me)

However, I have felt that my skin hasn’t looked quite as ravaged as I perhaps have felt. I still have noticeable lines on my forehead but I feel that the fine lines I was developing around my eyes are less obvious. My skin looks generally healthy, nothing outstanding but as I said, it certainly doesn’t reflect how poorly I have been feeling lately.

I had also sustained a nasty burn at New Year ( a frightful episode with an iron-best to avoid ironing if you can!) The burn was quite deep and needed a dressing for several days. I thought I would end up with a rotten scar or even a keloid as I am a bit prone to them, however the skin is recovering very well. I can only put this rapid and positive recovery of the skin down to the Silidyn.

Nails

In the first 2 weeks my nails began breaking and I was a little alarmed, however I persevered as I was committed to the 8 week trial. I usually have brittle nails and they break very easily. I have noticed that my nails, although shorter, do appear less flakey and a bit stronger. I’ve also noticed that ridges I once had on my nails have now disappeared. Overall they just appear more healthy.

Bones & Connective tissue

So this one is a little tricky to observe. However, I was reflecting on this over the weekend when I strained my back, just a little, lifting something I shouldn’t have been. What occurred to me is that I hadn’t been having any low back pain for some weeks, something I do suffer with very frequently. I put this down to the fact that I carry a little too much timber on my frame, and I am not at all fit, but and this is the important bit, I definitely hadn’t had as much discomfort and muscles fatigue as I had been used too. It was so insidious I wouldn’t have noticed it if I hadn’t been forced to think about it. I also don’t have as much discomfort in my knees when I am walking which again I can only attribute to Silidyn. It’s subtle but definitely a marked difference, one of those that you only notice when you look back and realise that nothing has changed but everything is different moments.

Whilst my experience is completely subjective I do feel confident in the changes I have seen. I intend to complete my 8 week trial and will be reporting back to you in February.
